trick or treat storageWell, Halloween is officially behind us now. If you’re like millions of other Americans, you probably have way more candy in your house than you’d like. Maybe you don’t want your kids to consume that much sugar or maybe you lack self-control and those fun size chocolate pieces and rainbow colored sugar candies are a constant source of temptation.  Whatever your situation may be, we have a solution for you!  Store it!  Rent a small storage unit at one of our convenient locations convenient locations and store that sugar in a small, air-conditioned unit.

KIDDING …. we hope you don’t have that much candy in your house! But on a more serious note, if you do have candy lying around and you want to do something more than just throw it away; we have a few suggestions for you:

  • Donate the candy to soldiers overseas. Operation Gratitude and Soldiers Angels are organizations that team up with local dentists and other businesses to ship the donated candy to military personnel.  By visiting their website you can find local places that are collecting the candy or instructions on how to send it yourself.
  • Call your local chapter of the Ronald McDonald House Charities and find out the rules for donating candy to their homes for the families of sick children.
  • Contact your local soup kitchen, homeless shelter, food pantry, retirement or nursing home. Many of these places will accept and use unopened Halloween candy.

Spread the sweetness this season and share some candy with those around you!
